WELCOME TO E-LEADER SLOVENIA
.

The Republic of Slovenia lies at the heart of Europe, where the Alps and the Mediterranean meet the Pannonian plains and the mysterious Karst. To the north is Austria; to the east, Hungary; to the south, Croatia; and to the west, Italy.
Slovenia became an independent state in 1991 and a member of the EU on May 1, 2004.
Using quality of life and social standards as criteria, Slovenia approaches, or even exceeds, the European average. Slovenia is directed towards development and a market economy.

.
Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is a beautiful small city situated on the river Ljubljanica that flows between the city centre and the castle hill above. Its river banks are filled with great restaurants, and chic bars popular with visitors and locals alike. The town boasts the most relaxing atmosphere of all European capitals and offers endless cultural events and excellent quality of life. Ljubljana is a relatively small place, so soon you may feel like taking a day trip.

Climate - Slovenia is located in temperate latitudes. The climate is also influenced by the variety of relief, and the influence of the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. In the Northeast, the continental climate type with greatest difference between winter and summer temperatures prevails. In the coastal region, there is sub-Mediterranean climate. The effect of the sea on the temperature rates is visible also up the Soča valley, while a severe Alpine climate is present in the high mountain regions. There is a strong interaction between these three climatic systems across most of the country.
